What is the advantage? You can use this video training for multiple purpose: for (1) employee training and (2) your employees can use these videos as "after the training is over" quick help look ups! Click to go to top of page. No one can remember everything so these videos are dual purpose and very helpful....during training AND after training. How unique! How great!! To be truthful, some videos "must" be over 30 seconds. Example? Microsoft Word "mail merge" (sending letters and envelopes with addresses). This just cannot a thirty to 45 second video. However, I try to get as close to 30 seconds in duration as possible. Also, short video is a far superior way to train versus long boring 12 minute videos. How so? Short videos allow for quick repeat. Short videos also allow for quick and easy "look up". Example: Assume it is a Tuesday and you are working at a clients office. Suddenly you are tasked with creating a Pivot Table in Excel....and you "forget" how to do the "Pivot table". Or, you are at a clients using Microsoft Word and you are tasked with creating a (1) Table of Contents, an (2) Index, and (3) you have to put "captions" under each chart and picture. What????? Who me??? Or, you are at a clients and you are using Microsoft Outlook. You are asked to show the client how to "color red" all emails that arrive in their Inbox from a particular person. In all these examples, you quickly login to 30secondtraining.com, quickly search what you need, watch the quick video, write down your notes as you watch, and you are ready to carry out the task! Successfully! The quick "look up" is not something those other training companies offer. They only offer long, boring and usually incorrect videoss. (ask me. I will show you one.) Also:...studies show people will watch quick and short "educational" videos more than long and boring videos. Short videos are far superior versus long videos for these reasons listed. I taught Microsoft Office for 24 years. The last 12 of those years I consulted my services as a Microsoft "help desk" consultant. People around the country, would call me for "help" using Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, I would do a "screen share", help them solve their "real world" problem. That "real world" help comes through in my videos. Most training companies create "educational" videos without ever having teaching experience. The other companies video training is not from a "real world" stand point. Usually there training videos is from a " this is what I learned in the book" mentality. That type of training doesn't do anyone any good. My 24 years teaching Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook help my videos have a "real world" feel to them. How so? Have you ever attended a class on Microsoft Word or Excel? Every thing taught in the class "turns out perfectly." The exercises work flawless. There are no glitches or hiccups. Verus the "real world". You use Word or Excel and nothing goes right.
